Tesco Staff Fundraising Awards
At the Tesco Staff Fundraising Awards, held in London on 7 April, the final figure from our Tesco Charity of the Year Partnership was announced – and it’s almost 50% over our £5 million target!
The event, held at Alexandra Palace, was a chance for CLIC Sargent to thank Tesco staff who went above and beyond in their fundraising efforts. CLIC Sargent’s Chief Executive, Lorraine Clifton, paid tribute to Tesco staff and Tesco Chairman David Reid also praised his staff for their unstinting commitment to the partnership, which has been Tesco’s most successful to date!
One of the first Tesco-funded nurses to be recruited, Jodi Betts, described what her role as a key worker entails and celebrity patron Chris Hollins, who ably hosted the awards, entertained us with hilarious stories about some of his BBC Breakfast gaffs.
