Tesco raising money for CLIC Sargent

Tesco Charity of the Year enjoys the sweet smell of success

Monday 26 April 2010

Tesco Charity of the Year, CLIC Sargent is enjoying the sweet smell of success as Tesco customers go mad for a new Little Nurse air-freshener.   The vanilla scented in car air freshener is flying off the shelves in Tesco stores and petrol filling stations across the UK, as car owners rush to buy up stocks.

As well as keeping cars fresh and sweet smelling, Tesco customers have the added incentive of knowing that for every one they buy Tesco donates 10p to children's cancer charity CLIC Sargent.

Alex Phillips, Tesco Car Care Buyer says: “We’re not sure whether it is the great fragrance, the little nurse character or the fact that it is raising money so that CLIC Sargent cancer nurses can help more children with cancer spend time at home with their families during treatment.   Whatever it is the public love her.”

The air freshener is on sale at selected Tesco stores and petrol filling stations across the UK.  Priced £1 of which 10p will be donated to CLIC Sargent.
