Andrex and Tesco team up to support CLIC Sargent
Wednesday 03 November 2010
Andrex are working with Tesco Charity of the Year, CLIC Sargent, to help children with cancer spend more time at home and less time in hospital.
From November 3rd, Andrex will be selling an exclusive, cuddly, CLIC Sargent puppy. The puppies are officially the softest yet and as children start to write their Christmas gift list, the cute puppy all snuggled up in a warm and cosy winter hat and scarf is a perfect present for any Christmas stocking.
12-year-old Sophie Andrew has first-hand experience of CLIC Sargent and is the face of the campaign. She said; “I have had treatment for a brain tumour and know how important it is to spend time at home. I was really lucky and had a CLIC Sargent nurse to help us with the medication and tests and make sure I was okay.
"Christmas is a really exciting time of year and you need to be with your family. I hope everyone loves the puppy as much as we do. It’s really cute and cuddly and makes a perfect Christmas present. Plus the best thing is when you buy one you are helping families like mine.”
Around 10 families a day are told that their child has cancer and treatment can last for up to three years. Retailing at £3.99, £1 from the sale of each puppy will be donated to CLIC Sargent, helping to reach the charity partnership’s goal to raise £5 million to fund CLIC Sargent Specialist Children’s Cancer Nurses who help children with cancer spend more time at home and less time in hospital.
To order your puppy and Pedigree Puppy certificate, just buy the special edition Andrex toilet tissue available in Tesco stores. Note down the unique reference number found inside the pack and visit www.andrexpuppypoints.co.uk/tesco. Register and enter your URN and pay £3.99 which includes your postage and packaging.
Don't forget to look out for special CLIC Sargent charity limited edition packs of toilet tissue in store. Andrex will donate 5p to CLIC Sargent for each special pack sold in Tesco Stores between 6 September and 4 February.
